		<description>Yes, you can move funds from a 401K fund (after you have left the company) to an IRA and invest the IRA funds in something else. 
It may cost you depending on the cost of the sell and the buy. 
 I don&#039;t understand your &quot;2 day period&quot; ? If you withdraw the funds and not move them to an IRA and you are under age 59.5, you are looking at a lot of penalties-- it is not worth it.</description>

		<description>I am trying to find out if you can convert an existing 401k retirement fund to an IRA for a 2 day period then withdraw the funds without any cost.  You are  then free to invest these dollars in any other kind of fund?  Is there an age requirement?
